Working Principle

The measuring probe assembly features a reciprocating piston that utilizes inter-molecular forces to attract particles and dissolved substances to its surface. As the piston moves back and forth, the counterions present on the surfaces of these particles migrate toward the measuring electrode. The electrode measures the concentration of these counterions and converts the signal into a current, which is then processed and displayed on the screen as a SCV (Surface Charge Value).

pH Regulation

pH adjustments may be required to obtain accurate test results. pH measurement options allow the user to quickly determine the amount of additive (e.g., lime or caustic) to be added when it is necessary to raise the pH of low alkalinity water.

Titration Method

Titration of coagulant and pH-adjusting additives can be performed manually on the LabSense1 analyzer or via the automatic titration function (standard) of the LabSense2 analyzer and LabSense3 analyzer. The automatic titration feature streamlines the testing process and enhances the accuracy of results.
