Typical Applications
The BT6308-CL Total Residual Chlorine Analyzer is applicable to residual chlorine disinfection monitoring in the drinking water, sewage, industrial process water and pure water industries, such as:
▪Online analysis of Residual Chlorine Disinfection in Municipal Tap water
▪Chlorine replenishment control for secondary pressurized water supply in the pipeline network
▪Disinfectant control of circulating cooling water
▪Chlorination disinfection control of water used in food factories and beverage factories
Performance characteristics
▪Sensors based on membrane or membrane-free amperometric principles are adopted
▪Stable performance and accurate measurement
▪No reagents or buffers are required
▪It is not affected by the cleaning agents in water
▪No zero-point calibration is required
▪A 6-month maintenance-free period
▪A three-month no-bid period
Working principle
The sensor measures samples using the principle of membrane or membrane-free amperometry. The microporous hydrophobic membrane on the sensor allows residual chlorine (HCLO and CLO- ions) or total chlorine (HCLO,CLO- ions and bound chlorine) to enter the sensor. Inside the sensor, this process converts most of the CLO- ions into HCLO, which is consumed at the gold working electrode to obtain a value of mg/L or ppm.
