The Bebur MSF8000 split type electromagnetic flowmeter consists of a sensor and a converter.It is used to measure the volume flow of conductive liquids with a conductivity of≥2.5uS/cm and is an inductive instrument for measuring the volume flow of conductive media.It is widely applied in flow measurement in industrial sectors such as petroleum,chemical engineering,metallurgy,light textile,papermaking,environmental protection,food,as well as in municipal management,water conservancy construction,river dredging and other fields.

MSF8000 split type electromagnetic flowmeter working principle

The electromagnetic flowmeter functions based on Faraday law of electromagnetic induction,which states that a conductor moving in a magnetic field will generate induced voltage.

Liquid can be regarded as conductor,and the magnetic field is generated by the energized coil outside the flow pipe.

The induced voltage amplitude is directly proportional to the velocity of motion of the conductor and the type of conductor,the diameter of the pipe,and the strength of the magnetic field,which is given by: E=B-V-D-K 

E-Induced potential;

B-Magnetic induction intensity; 

V-Velocity of movement of the conducting fluid; 

D-Electrode spacing;(measure the tube diameter) 

K-Coefficient related to magnetic field distribution and axiallength(instrument coefficient); B,D,and K can either be fixed or calibrated,so that the equation is simplified as EV.

The sensor transmits the induced potential E as a flow signal to the converter.Upon signal processing such as amplification,transformation,and filtering,the instantaneous flow and accumulated flow are displayed by a dot-matrix LCD with backlight.

The converter has 4-20mA output,alarm output and frequency output,and is equipped with RS485 and other communication interfaces,with HART and MODBUS protocols supported.
