Why pH Monitoring Matters in Liquid Cooling
The pH value reflects the acidity or alkalinity of a coolant. Once it drifts out of balance, a chain of problems follows: coolant that is too acidic corrodes pipelines, server components and other metal parts, causing equipment damage and leakage risks. In a data center liquid cooling loop, that can mean anything from degraded cold plates to a full rack outage.
The BS-PHS276 Liquid-Cooled pH Sensor uses a low-impedance sensitive glass membrane with a high-precision signal processing chip to measure pH accurately and capture subtle changes in coolant chemistry. Whether the environment is acidic or alkaline, it delivers stable data that operations teams can rely on for coolant health assessment and early corrosion warning.

Electrode Maintenance
- Inorganic contamination: clean with 0.1 mol/L HCl or NaOH solution for a few minutes, then rinse with distilled water.
- Organic contamination: clean with alcohol or acetone, then rinse with distilled water.
- Routine care: clean and calibrate the sensor every 6 months, adjusted to actual working conditions.
Typical Applications
- Data center liquid cooling — cold plate and immersion cooling loops, CDU primary/secondary side coolant monitoring
- Energy storage systems — liquid-cooled battery pack coolant health monitoring
- High-power electronics — cooling water quality for power electronics and industrial drives
The BS-PHS276 works alongside the BS-EC350 Liquid-Cooled Conductivity Sensor, turbidity sensors and the BT8500 Liquid Particle Instrument to form a complete coolant cleanliness monitoring package, all connectable to multi-parameter controllers via RS485 Modbus RTU.
